In the 0/1st year, do you go to school everyday? If not, how many days per week?

Hello!

Speaking from experience, in my 2 years of foundation Pharmacy at Kingston, we were typically in 5 days a week, some days were packed (9-6) but others weren't too bad and on Wednesday's we usually finish at 1pm.

Honestly it varies week on week depending on what sessions are going on but if you're worrying, you do still get a lot of free time to revise/socialise!

How was the schedule like in second year of MPharm?

Hi there,

While I don't study pharmacy at Kingston, I have included the link here to provide an insight on second year MPharm : https://www.kingston.ac.uk/undergraduate/courses/pharmacy/

With all courses at Kingston, you would mainly be recommended to have a 5 day on campus learning. This is a mixture of lectures, experiment/ studio time and revision/ learning.

Another option is to join one of our open days at Kingston to ask Pharmacy students and lecturers more in-depth questions.

I hope this helped and please let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi @damp-fanaticism

While I don't study these courses, I hope that I can help you out!

The preparatory course is part of the MPharm course here at Kingston and is for those that aren't ready for the jump into first year, and would be applying for a 5-year course.

The Pre-Pharmacy course (Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences), is a 2-year course providing further prep and an entrance to the second year of the MPharm course or top-up to a BSc in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences.

I wouldn't be able to answer which course is 'easier', however from entry requirements, the preparatory year has higher requirements than the pre pharmacy course.

I have popped both links below for both course if you wanted to compare further:

I hope this helped!
