Hi everyone!

I will be doing my PGCE Primary in England in September.

My question is... is it possible to do my NQT/ induction year in Northern Ireland?

If anyone has had any experience with this, I would really appreciate your feedback!

Thanks!

Hi,

Probably not. I'm pretty sure that NI is the same as Scotland, you only gain entrance to ITT (probation year) if you study in that country. I believe this is because Scotland and poss NI require PGDE which is a higher level than PGCE. You would be best speaking with the general teaching Council for NI.
