Hi guys!
Im in year 9 and in 3 days, I need to submit my options form. So far, I have decided to take mandarin, history, geography, art and computer science and art as my backups. At the moment, I would say that i am doing quite well in all my subjects. However, a big thing i struggle with is time management. Whenever i have a big piece to write, or an essay, it usually take me a long time, and sometimes i pass the deadline. Do you guys have any tips on how to improve my essay writing and time management? Also, will it be a big problem because I am planning on taking history?

As well as this, im not very organised, and since im taking art, im worried that i wont be able to catch up with art and my other subjects. Do you have any advice to help me be more organised/ how did you guys organise your time whilst studying?
Thank you so much x

Hi, I would suggest doing study plans. Make a timetable and assign yourself set times to study each day and time for you to enjoy away from work as well. If doing an assignment / essay, think about it and plan in advance. For example if you know you need to do 1000 words, then may 100 words for intro, 100 words for conclusion and split the remaining words down for the topics you want to cover such as 200 words for points 1,2,3,4 etc. Write some basic notes for each section of things you want to focus on or key points so you don't forget to include them. Always proof read your work, I find it helps reading it out loud to make sure it flows, and also read to another person to get their opinion too - this helps check your spelling and grammar as well.
Hope that makes sense and help, keep going and good luck
