- The Weimar Republic was unpopular as many Germans preferred traditional values and weren't convinced by Weimar democracy
- Hitler appealed to nationalists who wanted revenge, to make Germany strong again and to make Germany German
- Wealthy businessmen feared the communists and funded Hitler so the communists couldn't gain more influence and take away their wealth
- Hitler was a captivating speaker who was loud and very charismatic
- Hitler's propaganda was very successful in promoting him as the answer to all of Germany's problems
- Hitler used fear tactics with the SA to intimidate any of his opponents and eliminate opposition
