Calling out to all parents and guardians who are keen to support their children with advice on post-16 options but don’t know where to start.
Loughborough University are hosting a week-long virtual event to provide information and advice for parents and guardians who are looking to support their children during what can usually be a stressful time. We will help families understand the processes behind researching and applying for universities and how to prepare your child for university. You’ll also be able to book onto a series of Q&A sessions to speak to members of staff.

Monday 1st March

Guest speaker: Adam Lamb – Graduate Management Trainee
An overview of how Loughborough University has adapted to the pandemic and what processes have been put in place to ensure that students are safe.

Freshers’ Week Student & Parent Panel
Guest speaker: Matt Youngs, Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU) President alongside a panel of parents
An opportunity to hear about freshers’ week from both the parent and student point of view, and demystify some of the stereotypes around the culture of freshers week. Matt, the LSU president will be sharing what we as a university put in place to encourage students to get involved.

Having a child living and studying away from home can be a daunting prospect for parents! So we wanted to give you the opportunity to find out how to work together with institution’s support services.

Sport at Loughborough University
Guest speaker: Liam Jefferson, Sport Development Centre
Find out about Loughborough University’s sport offering, from courses, to clubs, competitions to recreational sport and more! This is your opportunity to find out what is on offer for all students whilst studying for their degree!
