Nah! Get excited, it’s awesome to get excited about stuff like that. Especially because skincare makes you feel great and it’s great self care to have a routine that you love. I’m so inspired by your routine too, it’s awesome!!

I have sworn by Lush skincare for years. I always have the following on the go:

- Three cleansers: one oil-based, one that provides light exfoliation, and then one for a more rigorous scrub. Anytime I wash my face I double cleanse, using 2 of 3 of these products. I currently have 9 to 5 (discontinued temporarily due to ingredient shortages) and Dark Angels on the go. Currently missing one for lighter exfoliation after finishing off a pot of Bûche de Noel recently.
- Toner water. Breath of Fresh Air is my favourite.
- A facial oil. Full of Grace is probably my favourite, but I'm using Argan right now.
- A moisturiser. Celestial was my go to for years, but I changed to Skin Drink this winter and it's doing wonders for my skin.
- Grease Lightning spot treatment. I rarely get spots, but this stuff is magic for when I do. They go down overnight.
- A fresh face mask - these only last for a couple of weeks so I select based on what my skin needs at the time. My favourite is BB Seaweed but I'm currently using Cosmetic Warrior. Smells vile but leaves skin looking instantly clear and matte.
- 1-2 self-preserving face masks - I use Cup of Coffee and Beauty Sleep currently. The latter is so luxurious.
- Lip scrubs and balms. I put my lips through hell and this saves them. They all essentially do the same thing. Although I'm currently using a Jeffree Star Cosmetics scrub & balm instead after receiving them in a mystery box and I think I prefer them.

Not face related but still skin-related so I'll include them:

- A body scrub. I'm currently using Mamma Mia from the Mother's Day collection, but I also really like Ocean Salt and Orange.
- A body lotion. This one isn't actually available to buy yet but I'm currently using their upcoming Lime Bounty body butter and it is gorgeous.
- Pumice Power foot soap. It's a remarkable exfoliator.
- A hand cream. I'm currently using Smitten, which isn't available to buy, but I've heard good things about Handy Gurugu.

Anything, moisturisers, serums, toners, masks, cleansing brushes or machines. Need to change up my routine.
Baby Lotion. Especially those small bottles. My hands dry out a lot and I always have lotion on me to prevent that

Because I do, Humblebee, because I do, well on my way to achieving a high 2:1 from a middling law school and fighting with all the other grads for entry level jobs in law firms, just running out of steam now. Also, 26; not 27. Each day is truly a gift.

Hot compress on your face every night before bed. Charcoal masks. Drink more water. Aloe Vera on your face for 20 minutes and then rinse off with water

I love the ordinary:
- hylauranic acid
- niacinamide and zinc serum
- glycolic acid toner
- retinol

also the boots own brand moisturiser, the cheap, unscented one, I use it nightly

It's ok, think most employers know there's barely any difference between someone who got a first and someone who almost got a first.
So did you think I was just some 27 year old wrongun who just hangs around The Student Room even though I don't teach and am not a student?

Cleansers- either Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser (used this to help acne and marks years ago) or CeraVe Salicylic Acid cleanser (currently using to help oily/combination skin).

Serums- Nip+Fab retinol, Superdrug's Hyaluronic acid serum and their Niacinamide and Zinc one

Suncream- Eucerin oil control

Moisturiser CeraVe SA cream (II'm a fan of cerave!). It feels really thick but it's made a huge difference to the little bumps and rough forehead I used to have

Masks- Simple hydrating sheet mask

When I'm going through a bad skin phase, a green tea and sea salt toner seems to calm everything down for me too

My makeup holy grail is the Revolution Pro primer stick (pores who? Honestly I've got massive pores and this stuff is amazing. Probably not the best for your skin so I try not to use it every day but WOW. And it smells like watermelon).
