Not very, it has a pretty high acceptance rate and you're not applying for a popular subject, as long as you meet the entry requirements and your PS is decent it would be surprising not to get one.

You do realise D* DD is the equivalent to A*AA at A level right... with your comprehensive skills it looks like you need the luck, OP's grades are good.

Maybe check with admissions to make sure they do accept btecs and hopefully u know someone who can help u with ur personal statement (a teacher?)
