i’m studying law starting in september at edinburgh. the highers i took were:
advanced higher english
higher french
higher rmps
higher english
higher business
higher italian
higher history
higher computing

i’d say something like politics or along those lines or history, a language or english, and a third a level. hope this helps!

probably just three, i’m a scottish student so i don’t know if i’m best to advise you on this but from what i’ve seen loads of people struggle w four a levels. say if one a level you take is easy or if it’s similar to another a level you take or there’s transferable skills between them, then sure go for four. i think it’s more so about what you can personally handle - loads of people go to uni for good degrees with three a levels so i think it ultimately would come down to how you handle a big work load

three should be fine. rather than taking 4, try and excel at three because Alevels are a lot of work. Maybe ask your school if you can do three a levels plus an EPQ. that should make your application slightly more interesting. hope that helps!
