A lot depends what type of postgrad you want i.e. taught/research or both and how difficult admission in can also vary a lot by the specialisation and a specific faculties relative expertise in that area.
But I would say work hard, build a strong academic resume, take relevant modules in the area you wish to pursue, get summer internships...
