The best thing that works for me is to get to know your texts as well as you can. If you know your texts, you can pick out pieces to reference and analyse easily, and that always works for me

-Re-read each text. I will always do a chapter/act summary as I go along
-Character charts (note important quotes)
-Theme charts with quotes and mini analysis for each theme noted (also include relevant critic quotes if applicable).
-Context mind maps
-know your AOs
-do past papers (full essays or detailed plans)
