I am going through applying to universities now, but I am looking at another option. Is it possible to complete a Microsoft certified course (eg. MCSE) from A level? Or should it be used in addition to a degree?

If I can do it from A level, is it advised? Or is the best route to go do a degree first?

Also, what kind of work is there in the security field or computers? Is information security a career gone into with experience? And what are prospects like in this field?

    Thanks

You can do an MCSE whenever you want, as its a course your paying for the training center's wont mind, since all they are doing is taking you through the course work and you do the exam when your ready.

You can definetly have this in addition to a degree although the one thing to keep in mind is, MCSE's do expire so you would have to resit again for whatever the newer Windows Server/workstation is at the time

I couldnt tell you about the job prospects as ive not looked at working in IT for over 2 years now, but you may want to have a look on this site here in reference to it http://www.theitjobboard.com/
Im still on the mailing list for it, but thats down to me not being bothered to unsubscribe
