I have a interview on Friday

I have mine on this Wednesday .

After you submitted your 10-page pepple pad portfolio have they asked you for the full portfolio? I emailed them asking about the full portfolio and they replied back saying that because it's online they will only be seeing that 10-page one. what a shame, I wanted to show them more. Is this the same with you or is it just me?
Good luck on your interview! I got an offer for the CSM Industrial design course and am keen to meet others applying or who already have an offer.
Hey Elias When did you get your offer email? I’m still waiting for a response

Congratulations:smile:!!
How did your interview go? what was the format? Did you talk through one project or more than one and did you show it through the 10 -page pebble pad portfolio?

Hi Ishaan! I applied via a authorized recruitment center and got an offer right after the interview. I received the 'official' offer email from UAL just last week but my UCAS was updated much earlier, a few weeks after my interview. Did you already have your interview?

Thank you. The interview was very relaxed and was very focused on industrial design. I presented my portfolio and the models of the products I developed in the first half of the interview and the second half of the interview was like a conversation with the interviewer about the products and my design process.

The interviewer asked me more about the work experience I had which I shared in my personal statement. Make sure to have another look at your personal statement before the interview. The interviewer asked questions like how I worked on the projects and how were the companies involved in that process. Technical questions were also asked such as what software I use for 3D models and what sort of prototyping machines do I have experience with. The interviewer also asked what are my strengths and weaknesses and skills I aim to get out of the course.

Some advice I would give and which I think supported my interview was highlighting the skills I learnt and developed in the design course I take at school. I take the IB and the design syllabus really focuses on concepts such as inclusive design and green/environmental design concepts. When presenting my products, I made sure to explain how these concepts were involved in my design process.

Hope this helps.

Maybe reach out to UAL? I emailed CSM a few months ago and they shared with me that an offer holders day for the industrial design course might be held once all interviews are finished 'after the Easter break' which is quite soon.

Where are you applying from? The authorized recruitment center I applied through I found to be very helpful. Maybe contact a recruitment center in your country or are you applying from in the UK?

Try and bring some models to your interview. Show the interviewer some of your prototypes. I did this during my interview and think the interviewer really liked it. I was able to explain more about the role models/prototypes have in the design process. Try to present various models, some high fidelity and some more simple.

How is your portfolio structured? If you want I can take a look and think of any questions they may ask you about your work.

Thank you so much. Your advice was super duper helpful! Can`t thank you enough! I used all the advice and my interview went really well! It was super relaxed and I think the interviewer really liked my work:colondollar:. I`m also waiting for my official offer response from UCAS.

During your interview did they verbally tell you if you got in or not?

Also Thank you so much for the offer before. Sorry, I didn't see it before:").
