Urgrent help with appliction !!

Hello,

Id appreciate your help.

So basically I applied for Queen Mary university through UCAS and I just been 'Unsuccessful, declined and withdrawn choices'

I have received a notification from UCAS track there was an update and it was that.

and it mentions this

Reason for Unsuccessful
Insufficient GCSE/equivalent profile.

But I have all the required grades for it as it mentions in the uni website.

My problem now is, can I challenge it or ask them to investigate in case they made an error. Or have they cancelled my application. These are my qualifications.

GCSE Maths 4
GCSE English 4
GCSE combined Science 4-4
Business Studies - Level 1/2 Distinction
Engineering Level 1/2 Distinction

and this is the course

https://www.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/coursefinder/courses/2020/accounting-and-management/

Course Code: 4P20

Can someone please help me out as I am really worried and really want to go to the university.

Thank you so much.

Under the Entry Requirements section, it says: Minimum five GCSE passes including English and Maths at grade C or 4. You have 4.
It looks this is not the same for the foundation year - perhaps get in touch with them if you wanted to be considered for that instead. Although, on the general page it does say: We normally expect you to have achieved grades A*–C or 9–4 in at least five subjects, including English. Some courses have specific higher requirements and you can find further details in our Course Finder.

But isn't my business and engineering qualifications enough for it to be a GCSE'S equivalent. Thats what I was told.

I'd say call up QM admissions now and discuss your situation with them directly. Remember to quote your UCAS ID so they know who you are.

Do you think I'd be able to get in ?

Who told you that?
You can ring QMUL or write to them and ask them to clarify the reason and whether or not they consider your L1/2 BTEC to be a GCSE equivalent.

I’m in a similar situation. They offered me an interview for Oral Health. This course is extremely competitive. However, I got rejected for that reason, I guess because I didn’t pass my science GCSE but I did do a science access course and achieved distinctions in all modules. Surely they can’t offer interview if “entry requirements” haven’t been met?
