Hi, I just wondered if there are any other mature nursing students here; if so, how are you finding it? Also, if anyone wants to ask what it's like to be a mature student, I can tell you about my experience as a first year.

I'm just finish access & will be starting my nursing course I'm September. Will be 46 so will most likely be the oldest as the uni only has 80 adult places 😬

Hi! It's been great so far, what I expected. So that means different than a lot of degree courses, very demanding, lots of deadlines, lots of reading etc. If you weren't really in love with nursing as a career then you would be truly miserable to be honest.
All the best with your course, you will love it if you are committed and you love nursing!

That's exciting! It really is an advantage to be a mature student, you bring with you a lot of lived experience and wisdom.
The main thing is to remember that this is a challenging course that you have to be super committed to, but as long aa you work hard, you will be fine. Just enjoy it and well done for getting your place!
