Hi,

I am a student at Portsmouth University.

Whilst there is combinations of a levels that compliment each other, it is not a necessity and any a levels can work.
For business studies, as it is an essay based subject, I would recommend subjects such as history, English, government and politics etc to compliment it. Sociology often goes well with phycology too.
I would advise you to choose subjects you will enjoy, and are good at as this will allow you to do the best in them.
