Digital archaeology in York

Hello everyone,
for the people who finished the master in digital archaeology in York, does it really help to find a job in this field?
Which jobs did you do after graduating?
For mature students: Can you do it part time and work as an archaeologist at the same time?

I'm sorry for not being from York. But I do know a senior who did Arch. Sci. at Cambridge. And right now he's been recruited as an Assistant Professor in one the top most institution of our country. Furthermore, I know many others who work in Cartography, Data Analyst, Curation, Preservation etc apart from regular excavations, projects, Post-Docs and academia.
