May I ask, what was the mistake?

Hey, sorry I’ve just seen this!


Essentially, I was due to retake English language in 2020 to meet the grade 6 requirement. I met all other academic requirements aside from this. I was predicted to get an 8/9, but my college just gave me the same grade I achieved the first time (5). As a result, I was rejected pretty much instantly. I’ve had this sorted out now, but my UCAT score isn’t great this time around :s

Hey, I’m in the same situation however I’ve applied with significant extenuating circumstances, and achieved all A*s in my A levels across 6 subjects.

6A*s that’s insane! I really hope it works out for you this year. I feel you on the significant extenuating circumstances front.. Hopefully Kings will consider these circumstances when making their decisions.

on kings portal, theres a small section about uploading english language test documents; do we need to upload? theres a small red star next to it. im pretty sure its only for non-native speakers but can someone confirm?

I think if you have Gcse in English then it's not necessary, even if your first language is not English. Is it correct?

I think it will be after Christmas- I was in one of the first batches last year and heard back around then. They tend to send out EMDP invites after the A100 course.

For your interview was it panel or the MMI? Because people are saying it’s panel but in the style of MMI…?

A-level Predictions: AAA
UCAT: 2550 B1
GCSEs equivalent of 7a* 2a 2b + 1c

It was the same last year- a panel interview with MMI style questions. What that essentially means is that there will be a panel of 2/3 interviewers but the actual questions will be MMI style, so they won't have access to your personal statement and will mark each question individually etc. It's basically an MMI interview which is Kings' regular format but they're just hard to conduct online with multiple interviewers so they do it as a panel.

so there will be no personal statement questions?
