I heard through word of mouth that the standard medicine course at kings now requires (so not optional) you to intercalate for a year, does anyone know if this would include the EMDP?

Doesn’t include the EMDP but Intercalation is always an option for any EMDP students

I'm actually so stressed about interviews now since I haven't got one yet for here :frown:

Anyone have any idea what they're basing the batches off of? I've got 999988888, predicted A*A*A and 2640 B1. I can't deal with this wait :s-smilie:

I've got very similar alevels and the same ucat sores as you, have you got interviews from the other choices, if you dont mind me asking, because i got rejected from 3 of my choices, even tho they were meant to be safe.

I've got an interview for Cardiff but was rejected from Oxford and Edinburgh, both on the basis of my mid BMAT/UCAT scores haha. I wish I'd played a lot more safe than I did but like you said even when the options are meant to be safe they clearly aren't : /

You’ll probably get it soon as the first batches so far are most likely given based off of gcses (and possibly ucat)

Im in the same boat as you, on a gap year and checking this thread and kings apply every other minute. Hopefully we will hear back soon, the wait is driving us a bit mad.

Like wise im on a gap year but keep of this thread and only check kings apply if you get a notification. There is no point stressing, put that into something new or you can even watch movies. Its our time to rest for the effort we have put in so take some rest we have worked hard and will se the result in the end. Good luck : )

yeah we are defo not alone in this , medicine is tough. hopefully the wait will be worth it . I'm always thinking with the foundation year ill be 3 years behind but as long as I get in is the main focus !
