Hello first of all congrats for making it to the interview last year! What r ur stats like / what criteria do u meet for the emdp so k+, polar, acorn postcode? The only criteria I meet is coming from a non selective state school and I am a widening participant because my parents didn’t go to uni. Apart from that I don’t meet any other ‘special consideration’ factors 😭😭 I don’t think I meet enough of the criteria to be given a chance

Gcse grades —> 999999998
A level predictions = A*AA = (Chem, maths, bio)
my polar quintile is 3, and acorn postcode is 3

Mate, you have a pretty good chance at applying the normal A100 Medicine, as EMDP is more competitive. What's your A Levels?

I'm only getting predicted AAB so i cant really apply to the normal one

Hi, could you please tell me if I’d be eligible for the emdp programme. I’ve only attended a non selective state school and my stats are:
A levels: A*AA
GCSEs: 988888876
UCAT: 2670 Band 3😭. I really wanted to apply for the standard entry but idk if I’d get a place with my low ucat, as well as the emdp programme because I don’t really tick off much of the criteria.

hi there need to get my application in for monday but im really stuck on going for Kings standard course or EMDP i only meet the baseline requirements for the EMDP not anything else.(e.g polar)

my predicted is A*AA ucat 2430 b2 and gcses 9-8,8,8,8,8,8,8,6 lots of online wex and charity shop volunteering. Would i have more of a chance at interview with standard course or emdp.

PLEASE HELP

thank you for wording this in such a kind way I think this is the green light for changing from the standards kings course to the emdp its just I thought the emdp was more competitive - less interviews/offers made and since more people qualify for contextual they'll have more of a chance sort of? With he standard course kings is pretty good with the amount of interviews/offers they do which was the only thing that made me choose it over emdp

ahhhh i literally adore you sm!! thank you so much fr the reassurance and ur opinion! obvs nothing is guaranteed for certain but this has made me feel tons better, i think i will try to avoid worrying so much :,) no worries at all i am so glad ur ucat went well for u this year!! your hard work has paid off and u deserve it sm :smile:

okay that's really interesting to know! ik it's early days and i might not even get an interview at the end of the day, but i should start to construct and practice some interview qs and answers!! once again tysm and good luck with ur application this year :smile:

Guys, I've already applied and sent of my application...but I'm starting to get really nervous about my ucat score putting me down. Do you think they really put weighting on the ucat for A101 like they do for A100???

they take into account a lot of factors but mainly ucat and gcses before interview however i have seen a lot of people with lower ucats get in, so you most certainly have a chance, dont stress!

Thank you! Well...my ucat is like really low, I was getting good when practicing but the actual test pug Me down..I got an average of 570 😬😭
