Civil service - home office - decision maker

Has anyone applied for this role recently on the civil service website? I have applied and got an interview next week. Just wondering if anyone has experience of interviewing with the civil service?
Yes, loads of CS interviews and rarely got the job.

Its usually a panel interview and competency based in question style where you will be asked questions that relate to the specific sections of their competency framework for that grade.

You will be expected to structure your answers on the STAR/STARR format. There will is maybe some guidance provided with your application pack or interview invite.

There is loads of material online about how to prepare for an interview of that type inc sample questions. Make sure you prepare strong examples that provide evidence to support the competencies they are looking for.
