Biochemistry vs biomedical sciences vs medical biochemistryWatch
Hi I’m looking at universities (I’m in year 12) and I know I want to do something research based after uni but I find diseases, viruses etc really interesting so I’m a bit stuck on which course would help me get to that point and whether if I did a particular one it would narrow down my options. I’ve looked at some similar threads and it’s kinda said that all 3 get you to the same point but is there one that is better suited to my career path?
Personally I'd advise against doing more "focused" courses as mentioned above, you will specialise more with module/project choices as you progress through your degree anyway and if you are planning on research work then a masters will pretty much be required and you can really specialise then anyway. Better to specialise when you have a better idea what you want to do, then choose the wrong one and be stuck for 3 years in the wrong degree for you
