Hi,

I’m 27 - 2 kids about to start my 3rd degree (NHS) my student finance was approved yesterday...

Maintenance Loan £15,264.00
Grants £1,821.00

I thought the maximum amount I would be entitled to is around £12,000... why do I have so much?

My income was really low tax year 2019/20 but I though there was a maximum allowance?

Hi Heidi, if you are living in London then the max Maintenance Loan is £12,382 as it states here https://www.practitioners.slc.co.uk/...ats-available/

The reason you can be awarded more is if you applied for the special support loan and if your course is longer than a normal course you can receive the long course loan.

If you message us on Facebook/Twitter we can let you know what was awarded if you are curious.
Thanks, Isaac
