how did u overall find the highers u took and how did you get high grades - A/B while balancing out other highers

If you want to make your highers easier (they'll still be a challenge) and balance them out nicely try and take subjects that are more closely related. For example if you're taking Physics, then Maths and Chemistry would go really well with that. Or if you're taking English perhaps Drama would have many of the same skills. Equally look at the amount of coursework they have. Art and Graphics might look great on paper but you could risk losing your evenings to all that work you've got to do for the portfolio. Most crucially for getting high grades and balancing it do subjects you're interested in and/or good at. I got five As at higher but if I'd done Drama and Art instead of Maths and Physics I would have completely failed both those courses. So think carefully and take your time deliberating on your choices. A set of classes you understand and enjoy will make it all so much easier.
