Carer Experience - Advice please

Hi

I'm a carer and made a mistake and due to my anxiety, I feel I need reassurance from potential other carers or in the healthcare sector.

I'm worried I have neglected even though I NEVER meant to.

This resident is quite independent and went to the toliet following a wash (not shower, I asked but because of shower yesterday she just wanted a sink wash) she pulled up her dirty briefs which I jumped in and changed instantly and I noticed there was a small amount of fecal matter.

As she already cleaned her region independently I STUPIDLY forgot to wipe her bottom again before pulling up the clean briefs and I'm worried and have been crying that this is neglectful.

This has never happened since and I have learnt from it and always made sure I thoroughly check. It's not an excuse but due to the time limit I have with residents I didnt think. I'm just so upset and sad.
