I got an offer but I’m an external candidate and I’m still not registered with a centre yet. It’s been so hard finding a centre that doesn’t charge an extortionate amount and my revision has suffered as a result.
Do you think I should speak to them about my circumstances?

As a grad - what normally happens with accommodation? Any current soton students know which areas are the best!

That's what I would like to do too but I have no idea which part of the city to look in!
I definitely couldn't deal with halls again

we're still eligible for student finance the same as all GEM courses right?
I spoke to Nottingham before and found out about the breakdown of funding and that we hve to cover £3500 of first year ourselves, then the rest is covered by student finance as well as us getting a maintenance loan. Before i celebrate, does anyone know if this is the same with soton?

I spoke to Nottingham before and found out about the breakdown of funding and that we hve to cover £4000 of first year ourselves, then the rest is covered by NHS/ student finance. Before i celebrate, does anyone know if this is the same with soton?
Yep! From my understanding this is the situation, we self fund the first £3,465 in first year and then we can get finance to cover the excess £5,785.
In years 2-4 the NHS pays £3,715 and we can get finance to cover the excess £5,535.
Warwick break it down quite usefully

thank **** haha. When we had the student chat with Soton, the way they spoke about financial struggles confused me as to whether BM4 was somehow the only place not eligible for SFE, or if they just meant that it's tight over the 4 years... i was thinking surely not otherwise no one would apply there, but since getting the offer, the lack of confirmation has been hindering my celebrations haha

All GEM/graduate courses require students to pay ~3.4k themselves for tuition

Are you a BM4 or BM5 candidate?
Let's just say I've done it once and it's not an experience I would like to repeat at 23
