Well done, maybe they have changed the system as it would not allow us to submit until we put the student number in.

I got an email saying the portal thingy opens for me on the 20th of April, I’ll probably try and book then. Are the rooms released periodically or all at once do we know?

If you don't mind private housing, Urbanest Westminster Bridge has a very good facility (obviously with high price). You might look into that or you can look at Moonraker Point if you want one of the KCL residences.

They really are expensive. If you want to save some money, SSA refurbished ensuite rooms would be pretty good. I hope you find yourself a good accommodation

Hey! I'm guessing you're already past first year as you know so much! I'm going into second year and I unfortunately never got KCL residences which sucked, I'm trying again next year but if not I was wondering whether you know any good (affordable) private ones that are near Strand campus. Thanks

Private accommodations tend to be more expensive. I'd say some big companies like Urbanest and IQ.
(I will assume that you meant you need to be able to walk from accommodation to campus)
But there are generally not so many private accommodations close to Strand campus.
Urbanest Westminster Bridge and IQ Paris Gardens are good, but they cost more than 320 pounds per week.
If you cannot afford any of those, I'd suggest looking for roommates to share private flats?
