Typically sports clubs will charge higher fees potentially a couple hundred quid or require you to purchase the university sport membership, this is because of the cost of equipment/facilities/maintenance/league entry fees...
Lots of course, political & cultural societies are very cheap sometimes free or a minimal fee
Other Socs will vary depending on what they offer, or how they are structured.
Generally for what's on offer they are very cheap, most clubs/societies are subsidised by the SU and some also receive sponsorship.
