Finding housing for next year during lockdown

Like many others I chose not to live down at university this year because of lockdown and complete remote learning. Going into my second year, I would prefer to go into private housing rather than halls as they are predominantly first year students, and I would feel more comfortable with people in similar situations as me. Only one of my friends goes to university where I do but she isn’t keen on getting a house for second year, and I haven’t been able to meet anyone due to lockdowns etc. I’m stuck as to what to do, I’ve even considered renting alone. Anyone else having the same struggle?
