I've recently turned 18 and it has just dawned on me that i'm not getting any taller (or any prettier for that matter). I come from a family of stunning siblings, and im sick of being the ugly duckling in the family. So i've decided that the only thing to do is loose wieght. I'm about 5ft7 and weigh about 11 stone (although i dont look like i do).
Has n e 1 got ne ideas on how to loose wieght?? I will admit that i'm a bit of a glutton and i thoroughly enjoy my food, so ideas on how to prevent over eating and gorging would be much appreciated!

It's simple; just eat less! Make sure you're not eating more than 2000 calories a day. In fact, as you want to lose weight rather than maintain it, I'd suggest eating fewer calories than that - around 1000-1500?
Eat less. Excersice more. Drink more water.
Try to avoid eating regularly:
- fried foods, like fried chips (very high saturated fats)
- chocolate or sweets (high in sugars and therefore calories. a mars bar=a 20 minute jog!)
- bagels, pastries, yoghurts
Go for a 15 minute jog everyday.
Basically to lose weight you need to eat less calories than you use up. In a day a woman would probably use 2000 calories, so try to aim for 1500. However it's very hard to make fast progress when you're not doing exersice.
smaller more regular meals.
HIIT. High intensity interval training.
Climb stairs rather than taking the lift or escalator.
Walk don't bus, if you have to bus, get off the bus early.
Don't eat ****.
Without any equipment, jogging is the best, with this you can incorporate HIIT, you can even do it with stairs.. although it gets repetitive.
just try eating more sensibly as everyone else has said - although i'm going along on the slim fast diet for moral support of my friend - just had my first shake *barf*
I'm sure you don't need to lose weight but good luck if you want to try.
i had to loose weight to join the navy and i ahd to do it quickly, it wasnt dangerous, they gave me special guidelines that help you loose weight effectively, all you do is cut out sugar, use sweetener instead, cut out all the crap - chocolate, crisps, cheese and then just eat helthily through the day, fruit is good but not apples, have the same amount of calories as a chocolate bar!!! it takes a lot of will, but because of what they told me i lost a stone and a half in five weeks, and i didnt excercise it was ourely just through cutting out all the crap thats just snack food!!!
Why do people always associate being fat with ugliness? If you want to lose weight with the sole purpose of shaking a couple of pounds off, go ahead. But if you're doing to be prettier, then you may have some issues with insecurity, which could also contribute to your binge eating. The best advice I could give you is to stay away from diets, the do not work. Get plenty of excercise and at the same time, accept that you do not have to be thinner to be better looking.

Why are apples bad?! I thought they were 'negative calorie' food. Hmm.
