Hi so I used to be a weed smoker and I’ve quit for a year, I was 10st before I quit and not I’m 14st, it’s getting me down quite a lot and I’m feeling anxious all the time. I used to have bulimia and don’t really want to go back down that rout again but can’t stay this weight for much longer. It was over lockdown I started gaining, it’s been about 4st in a year. I hate my body now and I don’t feel at all comfortable I’ve also gained a lot of stretch marks. I’ve spoken to the doctors and they want to check my thyroids and PSO because of the rapid weight gain.

I'd say wait until your thyroids have been checked and receive your results. Only after that should you seek advice on your weight.

Sometimes weight gain can be because of a low thyroid level so you should wait for the results to come in.
