My son has just been rejected from St Andrew’s for straight Maths, he is feeling a bit down like most who get rejected. He also applied for Maths and Economics which he has yet to hear back from and we wondered if St Andrew’s only give one offer?
He has 6 Highers at ‘ A’, topped his school for Maths and Physics with band 1 passes as well as band one passes in Chemistry and Graph Com ( prior to any appeals ). At Nat 5 he topped his year in Nat 5 for Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Graph Com. He is doing Maths, Physics and Chemistry this year at Advanced Higher with predicted A grades and got 97% on his prelim prior to lockdown for his Maths Advanced Higher prelim. The school he goes to is one of the biggest in Scotland so a lot of competition for him to top his subjects.
