Is Electrical Power Engineering a Course at Bath?

Hi, I am looking at my options for entry in 2022 and I am interested in applying for something in the Electrical Engineering Field at Bath.

On the Catalogue, it says the there is a course called 'Electrical Power Engineering' - https://www.bath.ac.uk/catalogues/2020-2021/ee/ee-proglist-ug.html

However, on the bath undergraduate subjects page under electrical and electronic engineering, it is not listed as a course. It does not come up as a course on UCAS either. - https://www.bath.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate-2021/electronic-and-electrical-engineering/

Does anyone know if this is an actual course I can apply for as one of my five options on UCAS?

Hi there!

I am an engineering student at the University of Bath. Unfortunately, I do not know for certain, so I would recommend emailing the admissions team on: [email protected]

From my understanding, if it is not on the main University website (the 2nd link you have given), then it would seem that they are no longer offering this course as of 2021 entry. It is still available in the course catalogues for the current students enrolled on the course. While it is no longer offered as a course with the same title, the optional modules available in the 3rd and 4th year tend to vary quite a lot and suit a breadth of interests so there's likely to be something available that fits your interests. Apologies if this is disapointing!

I hope that helps and please let me know if I can answer anymore questions
