DSA Travel Allowance for Autism?
Hey guys,
I'm hoping to go to university in 2022 and I'm planning to stay at home as I feel that moving away would be stressful for me.
The commute to get to the universities I want to go to is a very stressful one, with a bus to the train station and a train. I have quite bad sensory issues and anxiety with my autism and I would not be able to cope on the busy London train every day.
So basically, I was wondering if I would be awarded the travel allowance for a taxi under these circumstances.

Hi Amidala,
Before I withdrew from my studies back in 2014 I couldn't use public transport and the DSA paid for the difference between the bus and getting a taxi. Hope this helps.

Hi! I'm in basically the same boat this year (but in Scotland for my postgrad). Can you let me know if you were able to get this approved? I hope you did and your course is going well! Do you have any advice specific to the transportation portion of DSA?
