If someone is using it to stalk or harass you, you can post in AtCT and the mods can handle it.

That being said, while I have no doubt that TSR employees are busy.. it does baffle me as to what they actually do...

eventually though she slipped up after a long time and got banned permanently ....and thankfully was too low IQ to make another account.
really though if she had wanted, she could have just made another account to keep up the stalking as lets face it it's pretty easy to do.....

All of your posts on TSR are public. Following somebody doesn't change that. Someone following you doesn't really make it easier to stalk you and getting them to unfollow you won't mean they can't see your posts. They'll also be able to re-follow you very very easily.
If you don't want to be engaging with a user, add them to your ignore list.
If you believe that a user is behaving in a sinister, malicious or uncomfortable (for you) manner, then make a thread in Ask the Community Staff. They will look into it and take action if required

The follower system may as well be abandoned, it doesn't do a lot from what I can tell.
