Undergraduate BEng or MEng in Queen's for software engineering?

I have received two offers from Queen's University Belfast, one for BEng in software engineering, and one in MEng in software engineering. Would it be a really difficult step up to go straight to masters after A-level or would it be advised to do the BEng first? I do computer science, digital technology, and business studies for A-Level, and I am predicted AAB, meeting the criteria for both courses.
The course will be identical for the first 2 years.

If you think you might want to stay on to get the MEng then accept/enrol on the longer course. Shifting down to a BEng partway through a course is pretty simple, starting on the BEng and then trying to shift up to the MEng partway through can cause problems with finance

As PQ says, BEng vs MEng courses are largely the same, certainly for the first two years and even for most of the first three years. Typically the major difference in third year being certain modules may be core that are just compulsory otherwise and you may have slightly different marking criteria for your third year project. You won't be doing anything substantially different until fourth year, realistically. Also as PQ said, moving between the two is usually straightforward, but if you want to do the MEng eventually you may as well start on that course to simplify matters.
