Simply put it’s impossible for anyone to tell you what’s going to be fit your needs. The best bet is to look at auto trader etc and then run insurance comparisons - luckily the comparison sites like gocompare etc allow you to only change the car to generate a new quote.
As a starter the cheapest cars to insure (from my experience, your milage may vary) are stuff like hyundai10, Citroen C1, Toyota aygo, kia picanto, seat mii, VW up, Skoda citigo, VW fox, Ford KA or Nissan pico. More expensive but often more palatable as they’re a bit bigger are the vauxhall corsa, vw polo, nissan micra, Ford Fiesta etc.
