Protein, veg and complex carbs! Grill, ovencook or lightly fry protein. Also learn to add flavour with herbs and spices and make your own sauces, so you know exactly what has gone into them and they will be lower in sugar than a lot of ready-made ones. That way you can still have curries, stir-fry, pasta dishes, chilli etc, rather than just a basic plate with a piece of protein with veg and rice/pasta/potato on the side.
