Hi I really need help I am comparing quotes as I’m doing an English assessment I am really struggling with how to compare exposure and remains quotes the quotes I have picked are

But nothing happens - exposure
Tosses his guts back into his body- remains
Our brains ache in the merciless iced east wind that knife us- exposure
Remains- the word our it is a shared experience
Exposure- misery of down
Remains - I see
I’m really struggling on how to compare any help would be great or any other quite suggestions would really help me
Thankyou

you could talk about the effects that the war and the things they experience has on the soldiers, for example in your 2nd quote you could talk about the colloquial language trying to distance themselves from the things they have seen but it has lead to ptsd anyway, then compare this with the "misery of dawn" quote from exposure to talk about the oxymoron as dawn is supposed to be a happy time and the war has skewed the soldiers perspectives on happy and enjoyable things in life which brings about a lasting effect on them, like with ptsd in remains. (hope this helps, if you need a few more then just let me know)
