Oxford Brookes adopts "Brookes not books" as it's official marketing slogan.

The phrase was originally used to mock Brookes students and was then jokingly adopted by them. Apparently the university is proud of their students "honesty about their own intelligence".

always thought it was dumb poor people going to oxford brookes, but it mostly private school education kids
