Why are traineeships so far away than an apprenticeship?

They aren't.
Both Traineeships and Apprenticeships consist of a work placement and some form of training. Where the employer and training provider are located will vary.

It would be akin to asking why your local chip shops are situated further away than the grocery stores. A completely unrelated factors that are only relatable to where you happen to be situated.
