Hello,

I have decided to join a gym, because i have worked out at home for a while now & its getting quite boring.

The only thing is how often should i go to the gym? I was thinking about 4 times a week?

Also, i have my induction tommorw, does anyone know what happens in an induction? Do they just show you how to use the machines?

thanks

Hi, yes i think 3-4 times a week is recommended depending on how much weight you're losing or wanting to gain through muscle. You could go more or less than that but i recommend at least 1-2 resting days per week.

In an induction all they do is show you how to work the machines and they'll ask you to go on some of the machines in front of them so that they know you know how to do it.

Starting off 4 days a week should be sufficient, but once you get in the habit and your body is used to it, try 5-6 days a week.
Do you mean introduction?

depends on your lifestyle

4 is probably most ideal as you can hit a muscle twice a week

Doesn't matter as long as it's 3 or more days and you follow a proper program.

You go as many times as your program tells you to.

If you don't have a program or plan to make it up yourself, I guarantee you will get nowhere.

Read this and pick a program from it https://thefitness.wiki/

Highly recommend anything from Greg Nuckols and the gzcl programs. Both have given me great results (currently at 207.5kg squat, 130ish kg bench, 250ish kg deadlift).
