Hi,
I'm planning to find a job. I'm in my first year of study at uni. Do I need to inform the student finance England about it? If so, how do I do it?

Thank you in advance.

You don’t need to tell them as your loan is based on previous income (sept 2021 starters provide info on the 2019/20 tax year)
What you do while at uni will need to be taken into account when you re-apply for future years but this time it doesn’t matter
