Does kcl have an elitist/snobby atmosphere?

I was planning on aiming for my King's offer but I'm beginning to feel like the uni might not be for me. The central London location and the relative prestige of the uni make me worry that I will feel like a small fish in a big pond. Like a metropolitan Durham. Maybe it's not like this at all though
