question:

50 people were asked if they liked Spanish, German or French
31 speak french
2 speak all 3
4 speak french and Spanish but not german
7 speak german and Spanish.
8 do not speak any of the languages
all 10 who speak german speak at least another language
two of the 50 people are chosen at random

Draw three over-lapping circles, marked French, Spanish and German. There should be regions of each circle that overlap both of the others (i.e. a central region where all three overlap, then regions where any two overlap). Now start writing numbers in each distinct region. For example, the central part, where all three overlap, should have a 2 in it, as "2 speak all 3".

Where would you put the 8?
