Will face masks still be compulsory at University 2021 onwards as I will be starting first year then?

The government has said no decision yet and to expect some more information on or around 21st June. Which is still a good three months or so in advance, so you could change plans if it is such a deal for you.

As above but it’s probably sensible to assume that they’ll be required in many situations (especially in the autumn and spring terms)

There is a review of social distancing requirements at the moment scheduled to report by Step 4. I think the hope is that the vaccination and rapid testing programme will reduce risk to the point to allow people to make their own judgement.
