The shorter side of the parallelogram has length of 6.5cm. The length of the shorter side is 1/9 of the perimeter. Work out the length of the longer side?

If you times the 6.5 by 9 you can work out the length of the whole perimeter. You can then double the 6.6 to work out the length of both short sides, that leaves you with the total length of the long sides. From here just divide by 2.

I think that answers your question but I haven't seen the actual question so can't be too sure?

Still not got it. Any further help will be appreciated.

6.5 x 9 = perimeter

6.5 + 6.5 + 2x = 58.5
