Studying veterinary in europe??Watch
For EMS we have to do 2-3 weeks of husbandry work experience after year 2 and then few weeks of clinical work experience after year 4 and 5.
So that's a lot less than is required in the UK but nothing is stopping you from getting that experience yourself.
As for the actual course, we have a lot of classes on cadavers in years 1-3.
Then a semester of topographical anatomy in year 2 where we learn on live animals, semester of diagnostics with live animals in year 3, general surgery (but it's still more theoretical than practical unfortunately) and other courses in year 4 and then rotations in years 5 and 6.
So you get to see live animals every year except year 1, but it's not always super hands on. A lot of the time it's just you watching other people.
