What actions, or thoughts constitutes cheating ? Would it be talking for longer times with someone else, a kiss or any form of emotional attachment?

Depends on the boundaries you set within your relationship.

Tbh, if you define cheating as "partner has any kind of emotional relationship with anyone else", that's going to get very abusive very quickly though.

I think it's hard to put into objective standards, I think it's more of a feeling of betrayal - which can be caused by small things in certain contexts, or not at all in others. You just 'know'.

I quite agree with this reasoning because a lot seems to depend on context. Sadly what can be interpreted as cheating by the "cheatee" may innocently perceived as causal friendship by the cheater.
