My ex girlfriend told me she was carrying my baby, and when it was born I told everyone that I was a dad. I told them I did not want to get back together with my ex, but I wanted to be a good dad. They were all proud of how mature I was, and said that as long as I did my best I would be a good parent. But, my ex told me that she had only told me that I was the father to keep it secret from the actual dad. What am I going to tell everyone now?

This sounds like a difficult situation to be put in, are you close with your ex at all? As if this is the case finding out who the dad would be beneficial to help you tell your mates the truth for starters. However its unfair of your ex to put you in this situation at all due to actions and you shouldn't be held accountable at all to anything to do with her or her baby. I don't know your friend situation if your still in school, college, uni and have the same circle of friends but just telling them your not the father isn't going to have any bad implications on you as you were led to believe different.

Wow, what a despicable cow. You should tell your family the truth, that you've been swindled by an evil sloot. They'll feel nothing but sympathy for you. Hopefully this hasn't been going on for a long time and you're attached to the kid.

That's absolutely despicable. I would cut all ties immediately and tell your friends / family. Word will get out about it eventually and hopefully with it the truth. There will be gossip naturally when things like this happen, but hopefully nothing bad towards you, so I'd keep your head up and keep living your life :yy:

Tell the other guy too, he deserves to know.

You never lied as such if you told what you believed to be true. Anyone worth your time should understand that this is not your fault at all.
