Woese proposed this new level based on molecular phylogeny, what does this involve?

It involves the comparative analysis of the nucleotide sequences of genes and the amino acid sequences? Am I right or wrong?

Phylogenetic as a term means the analysis of evolutionary history, the genetical origins systematically in order to look out for deviations in phenotype and thus a common ancestor.
